Publication Ethics
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools such as iThenticate to verify originality. The editorial team adopts a zero-tolerance approach toward ethical misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and improper authorship practices.
Techno Sky Publications maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and unethical authorship practices.
Plagiarism and Redundant Publication
Plagiarism, duplicate submission, redundant publication, self-plagiarism, and salami publication are strictly prohibited.
Plagiarism involves the use of text, ideas, images, or data from other sources without proper acknowledgment, including reuse of one’s own previously published work without citation. Such practices are strictly prohibited. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism will be rejected or, if already published, retracted.
Duplicate submission or publication refers to submitting the same or substantially similar work to more than one journal. Redundant publication, sometimes called “salami slicing,” involves dividing a single study into multiple smaller publications. All such cases are handled in accordance with established ethical guidelines, and appropriate actions are taken to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Fabrication, Falsification, and Image Manipulation
Data Fabrication
Data fabrication refers to the deliberate creation of false data or research findings that were never actually obtained through legitimate scientific investigation.
Data Falsification
Data falsification involves the intentional alteration, omission, or manipulation of research materials, procedures, or results in a manner that misrepresents the actual findings.
Image Manipulation
Inappropriate modification of figures, images, or visual data that changes scientific interpretation or creates misleading conclusions is considered serious research misconduct.
Consequences of Misconduct
Manuscripts or published articles found to contain fabricated, falsified, or manipulated data may be rejected, retracted, corrected, or subjected to additional sanctions.
All investigations are conducted in accordance with recognized publication ethics standards and COPE recommendations.
Artificial Intelligence Policy
Techno Sky Publications recognizes the growing influence of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), including ChatGPT and other Large Language Models (LLMs), in scholarly publishing.
This policy is based on recommendations issued by the STM Association and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure transparency, accountability, and academic integrity.
Use of Artificial Intelligence in Manuscript Preparation
- AI-assisted content creation must be disclosed during submission.
- Details of AI usage should be included in the Materials and Methods section.
- The AI tool name and version should be acknowledged appropriately.
- Language editing only (grammar, spelling, formatting) generally does not require disclosure.
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all submitted content.
- AI tools must not be cited as scholarly references.
Authorship and AI
Artificial intelligence systems, including large language models, do not satisfy authorship criteria and must not be listed as authors on submitted manuscripts.
Use of AI in Peer Review
- AI tools must not be used to generate review reports.
- Reviewers must not upload manuscript content to AI platforms.
- Confidentiality and data protection obligations remain mandatory.
- Limited language assistance may be acceptable if properly disclosed.
Use of AI in Editorial Decisions
Editors, Associate Editors, Guest Editors, and Editorial Board Members must not use AI systems in manuscript evaluation, editorial assessment, or publication decision-making.
Uploading confidential manuscript content to AI systems is strictly prohibited and constitutes a breach of publication ethics.
Citation Policy
All manuscripts must include accurate, relevant, and properly attributed citations that support the scientific claims made within the work.
Excessive self-citation, citation cartels, coordinated citation practices, and unnecessary references intended to manipulate metrics are considered unethical.
Citation Best Practices
- Cite all information derived from external sources.
- Prefer original research articles whenever possible.
- Ensure references directly support the associated claims.
- Avoid citing works that have not been personally reviewed.
- Do not preferentially cite personal or affiliated publications.
- Avoid promotional, advertising, or irrelevant citations.
Citation Manipulation
Citation manipulation may result in manuscript rejection and, in serious cases, notification of the authors' affiliated institutions.
Authors are encouraged to report inappropriate citation requests made during the peer-review or editorial process.
Copyright and Licensing
To facilitate the publication and dissemination of scholarly work, authors must agree to the journal’s publishing terms upon acceptance. Depending on the publication model, copyright may be transferred to the publisher or retained by the author under an open access license.
Author Commitments
- All co-authors have approved the submission.
- The work is original and not under review elsewhere.
- Required permissions for third-party content have been obtained.
- The manuscript contains no unlawful or infringing material.
- All conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
Subscription Articles
For subscription-based publications, authors transfer copyright or grant an exclusive publishing license to the publisher, enabling worldwide reproduction, distribution, and archiving of the work.
Open Access Articles
For open access publications, authors retain copyright while granting the publisher a non-exclusive right to publish and identify itself as the original publisher.
Author Rights for Subscription Articles
- Use the article in theses and dissertations.

Employer-Owned Copyright
Where research is conducted within employment duties, copyright may belong to the employer and must be authorized by an appropriate representative.
Government-Related Works
- US Government works may be public domain.
- US Government contractors may require special licensing.
- Crown Copyright remains with the government authority.
IGOs and NGOs
Authors affiliated with Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs) or NGOs may be subject to specific copyright and licensing arrangements that should be confirmed with the editorial office.
Multiple Ownership
When co-authors fall under different ownership categories, each party must complete the appropriate publishing agreement. Depending on the ownership structure, multiple authorizations may be required before publication can proceed.
Supplemental Materials and Research Data
Authors retain ownership of supplementary materials and research data submitted alongside their manuscripts.
By submitting such materials, authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive right to use, distribute, adapt, archive, and make them accessible through various platforms and formats.
Where research data are publicly deposited, authors remain responsible for selecting and applying appropriate repository licenses.
Reversion of Rights
If a manuscript is accepted but subsequently withdrawn or rejected before final publication, all rights previously granted to the publisher automatically revert to the authors.
Revisions and Addenda
Any modification to a publishing agreement must be made in writing and formally approved by both the publisher and the corresponding author.
The final approved agreement supersedes any previous arrangements relating to the manuscript.
Author Declarations, Ethics, and Compliance
Authors must ensure that all research complies with applicable ethical standards, legal requirements, and institutional regulations.
Research Ethics
Studies involving humans, animals, biological materials, or sensitive data must include relevant ethical approval details and compliance statements.
Human Subjects
Research involving human participants must include evidence of ethics committee approval and informed consent where applicable.
